Improving the registration form on the site
On the Internet, the registration procedure is found to us as often as the form of authorization on sites. You have to register to perform: in all kinds of web services that help you find the information you need, free distribution of materials, online stores, social networks, etc. At such moments, the feeling of joy from an interesting find instantly disappears due to the need to fill in endless input fields (besides, sometimes completely superfluous).
As a rule, all this is inconvenient, takes a lot of time and looks too intrusive. Plus, a person can reasonably be alerted to the requirement to provide information about himself, as this violates his privacy (and privacy is important to many).
Today we will tell you how to make the online registration form on the site convenient and less time-consuming to fill out so that it does not annoy potential customers. Let’s take a look at some good examples from the net. Continue reading
Top Web Design Articles, Downloads, and Inspiration
We continue the annual tradition and publish the most interesting notes for the “last season”. Earlier in Design Mania, you could already see a similar article for 2017 and a selection of the best posts in 2016. It seems to us that such a digest allows you to quickly view the most relevant materials and, possibly, save something for yourself in bookmarks.
For your convenience, the entries are grouped according to different topics that correspond to the sections of the blog: there are notes about logos, web design in general, icon / font archives, templates, textures, useful sevries and programs, and, of course, inspiring graphics. In total, about 55 links turned out, which completely coincides with last year’s indicators. In 2019, we hope to slightly increase their number + to finish updating the design of the project. Sometimes it comes to the point that popular password managers (in Chrome or from 1Password) simply do not work.
In the article you will see examples of authorization forms with problems in usability. This is good food for thought for web developers who do not really understand how their audience uses the login tool on the site. In the second part of the article, we will show and tell you how to best implement this task and create simple, connected, recognizable elements that are understandable to visitors and work perfectly with different “password remembers”. The text is an adaptation of this note. Continue reading
